Today we examined article 15. We explored why it’s important and debated how this right can help us make friends and find people that like the same things as us.
Article 15 (freedom of association): Every child has the right to meet with other children and to join groups and organisations, as long as this does not stop other people from enjoying their rights.
Today at assembly we talked about the benefits of play and the role of play in a young persons life. We looked at fun sports from across the world and how UNICEF uses football to raise money and awareness for children across the world.

Today was our first assembly in the hall. Today we examined article 6 and had good discussions about what children need to flourish and thrive.
Article 6 (life, survival and development): Every child has the right to life. Governments must do all they can to ensure that children survive and develop to their full potential.
