Today four primary six boys participated in the Greenfaulds High School K’Nex challenge. They were tasked with planning and designing a modern go-kart. Well done t o our fabulous team who placed first. A great job and fantastic ambassadors for our school.

Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities. It should also help you learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.
Children learned today how Red Nose Day money impacts on children in the UK and in other countries. We considered children’s rights and learned about refugees, keeping as healthy as possible through being active and eating a healthy meal as well as art, cooking and ICT activities linked to Red Nose Day.

A massive thank you to parents, carers and friends of Woodlands Primary School for showing up and giving a donation to our Fairtrade Pancake breakfast. The children enjoyed performing and we helped raise some money for a valuable cause.
Active / Responsible – Article 27: You have the right to food, clothing, a safe place to live and to have your basic needs met. You should not be disadvantaged so that you can’t do many of the things other kids can do.
Article 4 – The government has a responsibility to make sure your rights are protected. They must help your family to protect your rights and create an environment where you can grow and reach your potential.
The children engaged in lots of activities, learning about waste, keeping safe, growing food and reducing, renewing and recycling. Learning and developing skills to help keep the planet clean and tidy.
