Woodlands to West Africa Challenge Winners!

A huge well done to all the boys and girls (and staff!) for taking part in our Woodlands to West Africa Walking challenge.  They have walked an amazing amount of miles while learning about the difficult daily lives children face living in Sierra Leone.

Our original target was 4631.2 miles.  This meant each child would have to walk 19 miles during the challenge(7 for nursery).  We totally smashed it and together walked 40,552 laps of the school; an amazing 8110.4 miles!

Primary 5 walked an amazing 6080 laps = 1216 miles (36.8 miles per child)

Primary 3 walked 5957 laps =1191.4 miles (41 miles per child)

Primary 7 walked 5945 laps = 1189 miles (36 miles per child)

Primary 3/4 walked 3631 laps = 726.2 miles (29 miles per child)

Primary 6/7 walked 3500 laps = 700 miles (31 miles per child)

Primary 5/6 walked 3455 laps = 691 miles (27.6 miles per child)

Primary 1 walked 3219 laps = 643 miles (29 miles per child)

Primary 1/2 walked 3110 laps =622 miles (28.2 miles per child)

Nursery walked an amazing 3100 laps = 620 miles (10 miles per child)

Primary 2 walked 3012 laps = 602.4 miles (25 miles per child)

Primary 4 walked 2998 laps = 599.6 miles (19.9 miles per child)

Well done to Primary 5 and Miss Park for completing the most laps and displaying a fantastic  team effort.  Also a special mention to Primary 3 and Mrs Bellamy who managed to walk an astounding 41 miles each!
