Woodlands Primary School started their Woodlands to West Africa Walking Challenge. Our goal is to cover the distance from our School to the capital of Sierra Leone, Freetown. We are raising awareness of the problems and issues children face in that country. Lets start walking!
Active: Article – 2 All children have rights. No matter what their parents do, what language they speak, their culture, their personal circumstance, where they live, if they are disabled or whether they are rich or poor.
The Pupil Action Group Assembly Focused on our upcoming initiatives. The boys and girls will learn skills linked to Heartstart. Learning emergency lifesaving skills. In February, the School will participate in a walking challenge. We will try and cover the distance from Woodlands Primary School to the city of Freetown in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Active: Article 12 – Children have the right to an opinion and for adults to listen to them.
