Meeting on Monday 18th January 2016

Today we had a meeting and discussed the following:

Fairtrade Fortnight: The committee would like to repeat last years Fairtrade tuckshop and try to beat last year’s record profit of £97. The committee would also like to run a series of assemblies in the run up to and during this fortnight to promote Fairtrade within the school.

Fairtrade Breakfasts: As part of the Fairtrade fortnight focus on breakfasts the committee would like to run a stall at the Parent’s Meetings in March to promote Fairtrade. They plan to give away homemade Fairtrade pancakes covered in Fairtrade condiments e.g. jams and spreads for a small donation to the Fairtrade Foundation. The committee is very excited about this event.

Fairtrade baking recipes: The committee would like to extend this and encourage people to send in their recipes that we could alter to make them Fairtrade. nRemember one change to Fairtrade can make a huge difference!

Next Meeting Thursday 11th February at 10am

For the next meeting children:

  1. Will send in their favourite recipes which we will amend to be Fairtrade. We will then promote these in school, on twitter and through the blog.
  2. Decide which Fairtrade chocolates they would like to sell at the Fairtrade tuck shop.
