Term 3 is now well under way and we have learned a great deal researching Scottish inventors and their inventions.
Everyone had fun creating their own poetry using Scottish dialect.
Pupils have made and presented fantastic personal projects on a chosen famous Scot. Thank you parents for supporting your children in completing this task.
We have been learning a scottish poem – Street Talk by J. K. Annand, along with a song about the great scots inventors. We were able to present these at our Scotland theme assembly. See a clip of the performance below.
This week we have managed to fit quite a lot of learning in, around our school shows.
In maths we have continued to focus on Data Handling using frequency charts and graphs to read and record data. We have also been learning about; mean, median, mode and range.
In literacy we have been using media, specifically News Round to record information for our written tasks. We are also continuing to use non fiction texts in class.
**** Reminder to all pupils**** bring in the home reader that you told me about as we will be using this for a writing activity next week in class.
We have begun to explore the theme of “A Healthy Lifestyle” as part of our Health and Wellbeing programme. We are starting by exploring a balanced diet.
Primary 7 gave fantastic performances at all of our school shows. Everyone was very impressed by our french song, everyone worked very hard to learn and perfect the words.
Last week we worked very hard to produce items to sell at Whitelees Primary, Christmas Fayre. You can see our lovely stall below and we sold all of our items. Thank you to all of the boys and girls who came along to help.
