This week we have managed to fit quite a lot of learning in, around our school shows.
In maths we have continued to focus on Data Handling using frequency charts and graphs to read and record data. We have also been learning about; mean, median, mode and range.
In literacy we have been using media, specifically News Round to record information for our written tasks. We are also continuing to use non fiction texts in class.
**** Reminder to all pupils**** bring in the home reader that you told me about as we will be using this for a writing activity next week in class.
We have begun to explore the theme of “A Healthy Lifestyle” as part of our Health and Wellbeing programme. We are starting by exploring a balanced diet.
Primary 7 gave fantastic performances at all of our school shows. Everyone was very impressed by our french song, everyone worked very hard to learn and perfect the words.
Our class Dojo winner this week is Kirsty McKenzie.
Our Four Capacities certificate was awarded to Emma McMurray for being a Responsible Citizen.
Well done to both these pupils, they are showing a great example as senior pupils.
My Lucky Charm
It makes me think of Primary 1
At my Auntie’s house
A small violet coloured Elephant
I was surprised she gave it to Me!
It’s always in my bag
I never take it out
I have had it from P1 to P7
It’s as happy and lucky as a rainbow
The Elephant is my lucky charm

My Best Friend
In the snow we play all day
my best friend & I drink hot chocolate all day
We warmed up by the fire for far to long
We stayed up all night long
My friend gave me a present
It was as heavy as a rock
It was so cold I could not hold it any more
When i see it I think of my friend
I am proud of the present
I smile when I see it
every day & night

My Best Friend
In the snow we played all day
My best friend and I on Christmas day
We wanted to stay
But it was kind of chilly
We thought that’s a wee bit silly
In my house it was so much fun
But we wanted to see the sun
We were 4 years old
It was kind of cold
The snowflakes falling down like it was magic
We fell down on the ice that was tragic
But at the end we were over the moon
She went home and I shouted “I Hope To See You Soon .”
