This weeks learning

We have had a focus on literacy and reading this week to correspond with World Book Day. Along with this we have still managed to work hard in other subjects. In maths we have been learning about symmetry and have tackled drawing some very tricky symmetrical shapes.

In our Biodiversity topic we have been investigating the way in which humans make a negative impact on our planet and have begun to explore the consequences of these actions. All pupils have been asked to complete the WWF footprint calculator at home and return their results.

In art we have used a peer assessment model to improve our drawings in steps, with good results.

Our R.M.E. Continues to focus on sectarianism and discrimination using Divided City as a resource. Pupils are participating in the workshops enthusiastically and finding the subject very interesting.

In P.E. We have been learning about the elements of dance by deconstructing a dance we have learned and re shuffling the parts to create our own versions. We have had a go 70’s style and are using 70′ tunes, this is to link with our schools 40th anniversary.
