Exam Results – Tuesday 8th August

Good luck to all our young people who will be receiving their exam results tomorrow.

For some pupils in the new S5/6 Year Groups, the SQA Results can provide a disappointment. In these exceptional circumstances the school can consider necessary course timetable changes. (Please note, re-coursing for the majority of pupils cannot be considered.) If any new S5/6 pupil experiences a disappointing result and has a question regarding their curriculum or timetable, there will be the opportunity to meet with staff for re-coursing on Wednesday 9th August. See times below:

New S5 – 9.00am – 11.00 noon

New S6 – 11.30 pm – 1.00 pm

Expressive Arts Showcase on Thursday 15th June

The Expressive Arts faculty would like to cordially invite you to our first Expressive Arts Showcase on Thursday 15th June in the Theatre.

Whilst viewing and bidding on Art and Photography work in a silent auction, you will be served canapes made by pupils from the Home Economics department and enjoy Music items from our wonderful musicians at Taylor High School. The Barista bar will be in full swing alongside a tuck shop to purchase some refreshments. Our raffle hamper is also looking like it will be full of fancy goodies for a lucky winner. If you can’t make it along for the main event in the evening, don’t despair, the silent auction begins at 4 pm.

PRIMARY CONTINUITY AND TRANSITION – TAYLOR HIGH SCHOOL

Taylor High has had a long and distinguished history of providing a very positive and rewarding continuity programme for pupils and families within its associated primary schools as they make the transition to secondary school. We have always recognised the importance of providing as smooth and comfortable a path as possible for all pupils at this vital time in their school journey. Providing planned opportunities and experiences from as early as primary 6 whether within Taylor High or through staff visits has been seen as vital to the establishing of positive relationships as well as helping allay the fears of leaving primary school.

We look forward to offering this vital provision to all our primary 7 young people.
