Each year the school celebrates the success of pupils in a variety of ways. Taylor High seeks to recognise both attainment and achievement in their widest sense. An extensive programme rewards academic achievement, consistency of achievement, citizenship, high levels of attendance, sporting achievement and more.
Each year the school holds two Celebrating Success ceremonies. These are:
S1 – S3 Celebrating Success Ceremony – held in June to mark end of current academic year attainment and achievement for all students in the Junior Phase of a Curriculum for Excellence
S4 – S6 Celebrating Success Ceremony – held in August/September to mark end of previous academic year attainment and achievement for all students in the Senior Phase of a Curriculum for Excellence. The final awards for the Senior Phase take account of national examination results published in August each year.
All students nominated receive a certificate and a badge (S1 – S5) which they are encouraged to wear as a mark of pride in their achievement throughout the following academic year.
A significant number of special awards are also presented each year for a wide range of notable individual and group achievements in diverse areas including academic and sporting achievement, citizenship and enterprise activities.
