As you may be aware, there are some changes coming up in terms of our staffing.

Firstly, Mrs Marcuccilli has been successful in applying for the post of Depute Head Teacher at a school in South Lanarkshire. She will take this post up in January.

Secondly, Mrs Wallace in our Office has been appointed Office Manager in St Bernard’s Primary School.

Lastly, Miss Scott in our Nursery has been appointed a post at a Nursery in Glasgow.

We wish all three ladies well in their new posts. They will be missed at St. Timothy’s.

Christmas Fair 2016

christmas-fair

Our PTA are in the process of organising our Christmas Fair which will take place on Saturday the 3rd of December 2016 from 12 – 2:30 p.m (Just under 3 weeks away from date of this post)

Entry will be £1 per adult, whist children go free. There will be Storytime with Santa. This costs £3 and has to be booked in advance through the school office.

hamperIn preparation for this, we ask that pupils make a donation for the hampers that are made. If P1-3 could bring in a toiletry item & P4-7 chocolates, biscuits or sweets please as soon as possible.

There will also be an adult and a child’s tombola. If you have any items that are suitable for prizes for either of these tombolas, we would be very grateful for all donations.

It would be helpful if you mark on all donations whether it is for hampers, adult tombola or children’s tombola. Thank you for your assistance.

If anyone can volunteer some time to assist on the day of the Fair or assist in preparing the fair on the Friday evening please inform the school.

PTA – Halloween Disco 2016 – Thanks

imageThe PTA hosted the Halloween Disco on 28th October.

They raised a massive £842 for school funds.

Thanks to everyone who helped to organise and support this event.

Thank you

The PTA are always looking for new members or parents who will be able to offer time up to support some of these events on the day (without actually being a member of the PTA). If you feel you could volunteer some time please contact Mr Alan McAra (Chairperson) or another member of the PTA or leave your name and contact number at the school office. Thanks.

Tesco Funding – Vote

Tesco

Please get voting from Monday 31st October until Sunday 13th of November at Tesco, Coatbridge. Encourage all the family to vote. Thanks!

St. Timothy’s have been successful in securing funding from TESCO Bags of Help. This means we NEED YOUR HELP to vote for your favourite fund (hopefully ours) in your local TESCO store. The amount we get is up to you!

Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative across Scotland. The scheme will see three community groups and projects awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.  greenspace scotland are working with Groundwork to support Scottish communities.

Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags.

The public will now vote in store from 31st October to 13th November on who should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards. In total, there is over £12.5 million up for grabs.
