Changes to staff

As you may already know two members of our team at St. Timothy’s are leaving us after the October holiday.

Mrs Byrne, our office manager is retiring after 23 years dedicated work at St. Timothy’s. Obviously for many of you Mrs Byrne is the face and voice of the school and I know that you will want to join us in wishing her a long and happy retirement. Mr Forbes would like to thank Mrs Byrne personally for all the hard work she has done, especially in supporting him over the last 2 ½ years.

Miss Sludden will also be leaving us to take up a promoted post as Principal Teacher in another school. We all have very mixed feelings as we are delighted for Miss Sludden on a chieving a promotion but also sad that she is leaving us. On your behalf we would like to wish Miss Sludden every success in her new post. Miss Sludden has been a trusted and valued member of our team here at St. Timothy’s and we thank her for all her hard work.

Both Mrs Byrne and Miss Sludden will be missed by all.

New Online Booking for Parents’ Evening October 2017

We have organised a new online booking system for our parents’ evenings.  This will allow parents to log on and book their own appointment.  Parents Evening will take place on Thursday 12th October 2017.

Go to http://www.parents-booking.co.uk/sttimothysps

PLEASE NOTE: You need to type this address into your website browser’s ‘address bar’ or copy and paste the above address into your browser. Do not try to ‘Google’ this website address or click on the link above. This is a common mistake on phones and tablets especially.

Login to see which appointments are available and select one that is convenient for you.  If you have more than one child in the school we cannot stress enough that you go on swiftly to assure you get appointment slots together.

You will need:

  • Your title and surname (these must match those we have on record for you)
  • Your child’s first name, surname and date of birth

The system will be available to take bookings from 27th September at 7pm and will be open to take your bookings until 9th October at 8pm.

Once you have logged in, we suggest you use the ‘Automated Booking Wizard’ to make your appointments. You will be shown your child/children and their teachers, and asked to enter your availability. Our wizard will use this information to calculate the best order for your appointments, allowing you to navigate the teachers in the quickest and most efficient manner.

Troubleshooting Tips – please read before booking!

  • To login you need to enter the details we have on record for you and your child. If you have recently changed your title or surname, for example, and not informed us, we will be expecting you to login with the details we have on record
  • The email address you enter is only used to receive a confirmation of your appointment. If the system gives you an error when you login, it will not be the email address that is the problem
  • If you have several children to make bookings for, and decide not to use the Booking Wizard, but instead make appointments individually, use the ‘Change Child’ button on the blue bar (above the school’s name) in the very top left corner of the Parent’s Booking Page to swap between your children

Well done P1 and parents

Primary 1 children hosted a coffee morning supporting MacMillan Cancer Support on Friday.

Thank you to all the adults who attended. We were astounded by the turn out and even more amazed by the total raised of £379.47.

Well done everyone.

October PTA Meeting

The next PTA meeting will be held at the school on Tuesday 3rd of October at 7 p.m.

We are looking for new members.

Can you spare an hour once a month to discuss fund raising events and help decide what to spend our funds on?

Or perhaps you cannot commit to monthly meetings but would be happy to help out at one of our events?

Or would you like a specific role on our committee e.g. chairperson, treasurer, secretary etc. – these are decided upon at our Annual General Meeting held in June?

If you are interested or would like to find out more, come along to our next meeting this Tuesday 3rd of October.

We look forward to seeing you there.
