Here a range of tasks for you to work through at your own pace for the following week
Literacy- Week Beginning 23rd March
Common Words
Here are your common words for this week:
above, breakfast, cupboard, eight, eighteen, experiment, first, hear, listen, nine, nineteen, million, surprise, care, busy.
Use one of the following spelling strategies for each of the words above:
rainbow writing- Use a different colour to write each letter.
silly sentences- Use the word in silly sentence.
Backwards words- write your words forwards and backwards.
Phoneme
Here are your phoneme ‘ae’ words for this week;
face, holiday, train, they, break, table, delay, chimney, breakfast, chocolate, yesterday, downstairs, monkey, great.
Can you create your own phoneme story using at least 7 of the spelling words.

Sounds to learn –
Phonics words to make – Please make these words with letter cards provided (in August) or magnetic board if you have one. If you have lost your letter cards you could make some on scrap paper.

Common words to read and write and learn–
Please write the words 3 times in your jotter (if you have it at home- if not write on some paper) and then choose one to write a sentence for. Remember to start with a capital letter and end with a full stop.
