St. Timothy’s Primary has an on site kitchen which prepares fresh hot and cold food daily.
The school kitchen now operates on a “Cashless” system. Each child is provided with a card onto which they load money via machines in the dining hall. Cards are used to purchase breakfast, snack and lunch. Money can be loaded each day or a larger amount can be loaded which will last the child for a week or more. Children in receipt of free meals have the cost of lunch automatically loaded onto their card each day. If it is not used (e.g. child is not at school or child does not go for school lunch) it is removed from the card that day. If children who receive free dinners wish to buy breakfast or snack they must load money onto their card.
NB – From January 2015 all Pr 1 – 3 children are entitled to a free school meal.
Snacks and drinks can also be bought in the dining room at lunchtime.
