Clyde in the Classroom

Primary 6 are undertaking a project called Clyde in the Classroom which is a hands-on project that uses the life history of a native Scottish species, the brown trout, to promote awareness of river ecology among young people across the River Clyde catchment. The project is delivered by the Clyde River Foundation.

The children  are responsible for regulating the temperature of the water to ensure the fish have the best chance of surviving and thriving . They will hatch brown trout in the classroom and then eventually release them into the wild.
