Primary 5 hosted a lovely Victorian Afternoon Tea on Monday for family and friends (and of course for themselves too!) An amazing response in terms of baking (Mary Berry missed an opportunity to sample some of the best cakes ever baked!), tea sets, tablecloths etc etc. There was a great turnout with over 50 guests coming. Primary 5 did an amazing job (with a little help from some others!) in setting up and running the event. They even performed a wee Victorian song. A fantastic £240 was raised for St. Andrew’s Hospice. Well done and Thank you to all who supported the event.

The primary 6 children were thrilled to participate in their Pope Francis Faith Award Enrolment Mass on Thursday.
They set a good example by walking their primary one buddies to St John Bosco’s Church. They walked respectfully into mass and demonstrated great behavior throughout the service. Some children read aloud while others participated in the offertry procession.
Rosary beads for each child in the whole school were also blessed at mass and given out afterwards so that prayers for peace can be carried out during the month of October.
They children received their Pope Francis Faith Award bands and journals when they returned to school and are looking forward to completing various Faith actions and kind deeds as they work on their journals throughout primary 6. They will complete the award in primary 7. Well done boys and girls! 🙂

The children are having a fantastic time dancing the night away. A big thank you to everyone especially the parent focus group for organising this event.
Monies raised helps to pay buses for the pantomime, summer outings and many other resources which makes school more enjoyable for your children.
This year we would also like to raise money to upgrade smart board projectors. Most of our smart boards are 10/11 years old and parts are very expensive to replace.
Your continued support is greatly appreciated.

Lee McParland, our Active School’s Coordinator has been working with P7 over the last few weeks, training them to be ‘Young Leaders’ with lots of new game ideas for the playground, giving them new skills to help teach the younger children.
