P6 and P3 Co-operative Learning

Some children in primary 6 worked alongside primary 3 to help them log onto ‘Teach Your Monster to Read.’ This is a groundbreaking game that makes learning to read fun. The programme covers everything from letters and sounds to reading full sentences. The children were all really engaged with their tasks and worked well co-operatively.

Well done boys and girls. 🙂

P6/7 Beats of Brazil

Today I had the opportunity of watching the P6 and P7s enjoying their fortnightly Beats of Brazil lessons led by John and Marcia.

All pupils were very engaged throughout and were very successful playing their instruments, participating in the dances and they even got to take part in a limbo challenge. Well done, especially to Kirk from P6 and Abi and Ciaran from P7 who were the limbo champions.

Financial Education Week!

As part of Financial Education Week primary 4 have been looking at ways of making an amount of money. Today we did a stations activity and each group had a different task to do. Station 1 was our favourite as we had to work in a team to count all the money in the box! It was tricky as there was a lot of money to add up but one group counted it correctly and that was The Minions, Well done! We really enjoyed moving around all 4 stations and having a go at each one!

More Ancient Egyptian Art!

Primary 4 have enjoyed making more Egyptian jewellery! This time we have made crowns as these are what the Kings, Queens and Pharaohs would have worn! We hope you like them!
