Santa’s Little Helpers (P2)

We are enjoying practising for the Nativity with Primary 1 and Primary 3.

We loved Christmas Jumper Day a lot as it really helped us get into the Christmas Spirit. HO HO HO!

Primary 2 are getting ready for the Christmas Fayre. We have been busy making our ‘Snowman Soup’ to sell at the Fayre this Saturday, the 16th of December.

The 10p Trail (P6)

“THANK YOU!” to the children and parents who have been kindly donating 10 pence pieces to help raise school funds.

The Primary 6 children have been creating persuasive posters and writing catchy jingles to help encourage children to bring in spare 10p pieces if they can. Annabelle and Michael have been recording a daily total, noting if there is an increase or decrease in the money gathered.

Next week children who bring in a 10p coin can guess the amount of 10p pieces needed to go around the school from Miss Boyd’s room back to the main office.

Please remember to keep bringing in any spare 10p coins. In the words of Primary 6 “Don’t let our school fail, join in The 10p Trail.” 🙂

P6 Christmas Arts and Crafts

The p6 children have now finished their reindeer cups. They made one to take home and another to sell at the Christmas Fair so be on the look out for them on the 16th of December in St John Bosco’s Church Hall.

The children have been looking at profit and loss during Financial Education Week and have worked out the cost of the cups and accessories. They have then calculated the potential profit that could be accumulated for school funds. Hopefully £2 per cup will seem a bargain on closer inspection. The cups come with a candy cane and should be left out for Rudolph on Christmas Eve. The children will write instructions telling you to add a carrot or apple to help him on his busy journey.

To make the classroom more festive each child designed their own elf too. They had lots of fun using their creative side. Well done Primary 6. 🙂
