Taylor High Sports Morning

Primary 6 participated in a variety of different sporting activities at Taylor High this morning. This was an excellent opportunity for the boys and girls to meet with other pupils from our Associated Primaries. The children also met some of the Taylor High School staff and S6 Sports Coaches. They had lots of fun and enjoyed meeting some new friends. 🙂

The children walked respectfully to Taylor High and then back to school. I am very proud of your behavior today boys and girls. You represented St Patrick’s Primary well!

Fair Trade Tuck

Primary 5 ran a Fair trade Tuck shop on Friday and spent more than £186 on Fair trade goods. This supports poorer farmers and allows them to earn a fair wage for their work. The profits from the tuck shop are going towards the Lenten Appeal this year so we are delighted to announce that £50  was the profit and this money will go to SCIAF. Well done Primary 5!

Our Last Supper!

As part of our First Holy Communion Preparation, we had our very own Last Supper today. We enjoyed spending time with our classmates and talking about what Jesus’ Last Supper might have felt like. We also had fun designing our own place mats!

St Patrick’s Day in P3

Pictured are P3 after mass on Friday. The previous evening many of the pupils had celebrated their First Reconciliation which was a very special and spiritual evening. The pupils’ singing and behaviour was excellent and they were a credit to their families and to our school.

P3 received beautiful cards and bookmarks from their P6 Prayer Partners. Thank you P6,  this was very kind and thoughtful of you and Miss Park.

On Friday afternoon P3 worked co-operatively to plant some sunflower plants which were placed in the greenhouse along with P1’s plants.

We look forward to watching them grow over the next couple of months.

Mary’s Meals Back Packs

Thank you and well done to everyone who brought in back packs for the Mary’s Meals Back Pack Appeal. In total we collected 67 back packs which were collected on Thursday morning. As you can see we managed to complete our back pack picture,  and next week P4 will use their recent data handling skills to work out which class brought in the most back packs.

More photos to follow.
