Pope Francis Faith Award

Some pupils from Primary 6 were enrolled for the Pope Francis Faith Award at Mass this morning. They delivered the liturgy with respect and dignity. Well done!

The children have already decided to support and raise awareness of MISSIO throughout the school.

This the start of the next step in their faith journey, we offer them support and wish them every success.

Live-Learn-Learn Workshop for Parents

Jennifer from Live-N-Learn presented an informative, interactive and fun workshop for parents on Tuesday evening, approximately 30 people turned up for this workshop. Everyone enjoyed the activities and found the concept of Growth Mindset  very interesting. On leaving the hall everyone was smiling and “inspirational” was one of the words used to describe this event.

Due to unforeseen circumstances yesterdays activities for children were postponed, workshops have been re-arranged for Monday 26th November. If you missed this opportunity, we may be able to arrange something for parents on the 26th November.

Contact the school if this is something that would be of interest you.

Marvellous Maths with P2

Primary 2 have been exploring numbers up to 100 recently. We can recognise numbers up to 100, count on and back and add numbers up to 20.

We use different activities to practice all of our skills.

Mrs Neary is very impressed with our marvellous maths!

Primary 4 at Scotmid

Primary 4 have been learning about money. They visited Scotmid this morning and used their money skills in a real life context. David, the Store Manager was very kind and let the children look around the shop and price various items. The children noticed some items were priced with pounds while others were priced using pence. They carried out subtraction work back at school to work out the difference between the most expensive and least expensive items. Primary 4 were very well behaved and had lots of fun. A big THANK YOU to David and everyone who was working at the store today. 🙂

Primary 3’s First Term

Primary 3 have had a very busy first term!

We have been working hard with our reading, spelling and phonemes. We have been finding active ways to help us learn and have been helping each other be more confident and successful in our learning. Well done!

In number the children have enjoyed all our active games to help us with Place Value and Time. We are gaining more confidence in explaining how we work out the answer to a problem in our number talks.

The children have really enjoyed learning about The Rainforest and have created a great display.

We have been trying so hard to follow our golden rules, we were the first class to win the trophy for the most golden tickets and we got a movie afternoon to celebrate our success.

Well done boys and girls I am proud of you, keep trying hard!
