Parent Fundraising Group Disco

A big ‘THANK YOU’ to the parents who organised last nights disco. It was a huge success and enjoyed by all. £300 was handed into the school this morning. The money raised at these events helps to upgrade ICT and pay for buses to outings and many others resources which make learning interactive and enjoyable.

The interactive smart boards used within the school are becoming increasingly difficult to repair as parts are now obsolete. School will now have to consider replacing with new interactive technology. All monies raised helps.

Thank you once more.

P4 Pyramids

We worked co-operatively to complete a STEM pyramid building challenge. Based on the learning from our Ancient Egyptian topic, we had to collaborate to build our own pyramids using a variety of different materials such as paper, building blocks, playing cards, cocktail sticks and marshmallows.

We used our problem solving skills and had lots of fun participating in this challenge.

Primary 4 enjoyed the sunny weather at the beginning of the week so we decided to go outside and enjoy some games. We kept fit and had lots of fun. We hope the sunshine comes back again soon.

Primary 3 Retreat

As Primary 3 prepare to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation, they had an informative, reflective and fun time at Schoenstatt Retreat Centre yesterday.

The weather was fabulous for February (remember this time last year when ‘the beast from the east’ caused havoc throughout the country).

The children had a fabulous time – the staff commented on their excellent behaviour. Well done!

Primary 5 Assembly

Well done to Primary 5 who performed “The Three Trees” to the whole school and their parents. The children joined their parents for refreshments after the assembly. The performance was outstanding.

Primary 6 Health and Well-being Event

The pupils from Primary 6 thoroughly enjoyed their first transition event held at Taylor High School last week.

The successful health and well-being event enabled the children to engage with the other schools in the cluster.

This provided a great opportunity and experience for our pupils who appreciated the effort of the organisers and the sports leaders who they worked with at each station.
