Suggested donation £1.00.

Parent Fundraising Group

The Parent Fundraising Group have organised an Afternoon Tea in St. John Bosco’s Church Hall on Sunday 13th October – 12:30 until 3:00pm. (After Mass)

Cost £3:00 for Adults £1:oo for children.

Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be available alongside a selection of cakes.

Please come along to support your child and the school.

All monies raised will go towards school funds.

Maths Week Winners

Well done to these pupils who were the winners from last week’s Maths Homework Challenge Competition. The standard of drawings incorporating the maths challenge was very high and we are really pleased that so many pupils took part.  We will be displaying some of the work on our new Maths Wall.

St. Andrew’s Hospice

Ross and Jen from St. Andrew’s Hospice came to assembly this morning to talk to the children about the work of the hospice and to collect a cheque to the value £759.25. This was sponsorship money from last sessions P7 Yellow Walk and Teddy Bear Picnic.

Amazing!! Well done, everyone!!!

The Hospice Fundraising Group will continue to sell wristbands and pens (cost £1.00) for the Capital Appeal until they are all gone!

Things to look out for – the Fundraising Group will sell Hospice products at the Christmas Fair on Tuesday 25th November.

Parents Evening

Thank you to all parents who attended Parents Evening last night. Attendance was was 90% with a few parents requesting alternative times, this will further increase attendance.

Congratulations to the winner of the Parent Focus Group raffle, I’m sure he and his family will enjoy a fun family night out at the cinema.

House Winners

Well done to Barra House who were our winning house last week with 63 tokens. This week we will count up all the scores from August to find out which house are the overall winners for Term 1. The winning house will receive a special treat. More information to follow. Cumbrae House have still to receive their extra playtime for being September winners. We haven’t forgotten you Cumbrae.!

At Parent’s evening tomorrow in the school foyer, there will be a clothing bank, raffles will be on sale and the Book Club will also be available for you to purchase or order a book.

Please remember to return all Snapshot jotters to school. Please also return the stars and wishes sheet and the parent/pupil comment sheet. Thank you.

If you were not able to make an appointment online, please check your child’s bag as available appointments were issued today.

Primary 1 will take home Maths and Literacy Jotters. At the back of these jotters you will find “My Family Feedback Page”

Please date and write a comment about ‘what my family thinks about my work’.

P2 to 7 SNAPSHOT JOTTERS will go home today. This is a new development – children have completed all curricular tasks in this jotter this week. Personal Learning plans have also been included. These jotters will go home 4 times over the academic session. A Parental Comment section is included in the jotter.

You will also find Parent Response Sheet  and a 2 Stars and a Wish Evaluation.

Please look over your child’s work and return jotters and evaluation on Tuesday.
