Anderson Shelters

As part of their World War 2 topic, primary 6/7 designed and made their own Anderson Shelters. We were very impressed with the finished models.

Taylor High School Transition

Today our ten week visit to Taylor High came to an end. We have had a fabulous time in Music, Maths, English, Science and Social Subjects. It has made us really excited about going to Taylor High next year and we now look forward to our two day visits at the end of the school year. We have made many new friends and met many new teachers.

Retirement

It is with great trepidation I am informing you of my upcoming Retirement at Christmas. I have been in teaching for over 40 years and I have loved all of those years “most” of the time. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at St. Patrick’s. I describe and refer to it as my “homecoming” as I have lived my life 1½ miles from the school.

I would like to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support I have received from all of you over the last 6 years. For me it has been an extremely difficult decision to make, however I feel the time is right.

St. Patrick’s will always have a special place in my heart – it is a nurturing, respectful and very welcoming school community. I feel these qualities have been extended to me over the years. It has been an honour and a pleasure to work with children, staff and parents. Your children are fabulous and I will miss each and everyone of them.

Once more thank you for your support. I am sure when I leave, the school will go from strength to strength.

Many, many thanks,

Ann Marie Boyd (Head Teacher)
