Book Week Scotland 2019

Last week Primary 3/4 enjoyed celebrating Scottish National Book Week. They designed their own book cover, chose books to read in class and visited the library too; where they received compliments for their great behaviour during their library visit.

They were also delighted when they received exciting news regarding the Young Writers Poetry Competition. All of their their poems have been selected and (with parental permission) can now be published. The children were grateful for their certificates, bookmarks and stickers. Well done boys and girls! 🙂

Christmas Fair

This years Christmas Fair was a huge success. A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported it. The money raised helps to reduce the cost of educational outings e.g. £5.00 per head goes towards  the pantomime.

It will help to fund the end of term treat to the winning house, which in turn encourages positive behaviour in and around the school campus. The money also helps the school to purchase items which help  to improve the school experiences of all our learners.

The money raised this year is £1120 FANTASTIC

We also sold over £450 worth of products for St. Andrew’s Hospice. Well done everyone!

Thank you once more for supporting this worthwhile event.
