Science Week

As part of our Science week, we were really pleased when a P4/5 pupil’s mum who is a science teacher at Taylor High School agreed to come in and work with P4/5 today making noisy putty. Pupils really loved the science investigation making the liquid change to a solid. Pupils mixed glue, water, food colouring and the chemical ingredient(Borax) to make their putty which pupils will be able to mould with during the week. Thank you, we really appreciated your visit today.

Please get in touch if you could help us to support your child’s learning in the classroom by providing any other lesson input.

Burns Celebration

P 1/2 and their P7 buddies had a joint Burns celebration last Friday. We had a tasting session where we tried oatcakes with haggis, neeps & tatties then some shortbread for dessert. Everyone had a great time and we are looking forward to spending more time with our buddies soon.

From Pupil to Student

We said goodbye to an old St. Patrick’s pupil for the second time on Friday but this time she was working with our staff.

Thanks to Holly for returning and for working well with our pupils last week. Thank you from all the staff for the lovely card ( it will definitely last longer than the biscuits which seem to have disappeared already ).

Good luck with the rest of your busy year at Taylor High School!
