Weekly House Winners

Fantastic news this week that MULL HOUSE are our first house winners for March with an amazing 144 tokens. We think that is the most tokens gathered in a week. All houses however had fantastic amounts of tokens…think Mr Dinsmor must have started giving some out this week!

All pupils from CUMBRAE HOUSE had their extra playtime today for being house winners for February. The sun didn’t shine but everyone looked like they were having a fun time playing with their siblings and others from their house.

A Special Visitor

Today, pupils and staff were excited to receive a visit from Miss Boyd. It was a real pleasure to have her back in the school and Mr Dinsmor even slightly tidied up the office to impress her.

She told us all about the fun she’s been having in her well earned retirement, although she is missing our school community, of which she will always be a  huge part.

Miss Boyd left a card for pupils and parents to express her thanks for their generosity and thoughtfulness.

We hope to see her again soon!

“ To the children and parents of St. Patrick’s, a huge thank you for the beautiful flowers, bracelets and caricature – it takes pride of place in my home. It is a reminder of the wonderful memories I have of my time in St. Patrick’s. Thank you once more for your kindness. Miss Boyd.”

P 4/5 Victorians Assembly

P4/5, Miss Mulvaney and Miss Coyle thrilled a packed audience of parents and families with their Victorians Assembly.

We learned about the hardships faced during Victorian times, the tough life children experienced and how lucky we are in our modern lives.

The pupils managed all of the above and also made it funny and entertaining! We’re so proud of our talented pupils.

A huge thank you to everyone who managed along to support the children.

Missio Lenten Mission

Our Missio Champions in P6 have been busy this week informing classes about our Lenten charity for this year.

We have decided to raise money for Missio Scotland.

In class, we are trying to fill our Missio sheets by bringing in 10p for each ‘hand print’ or £1 for a whole sheet.  Each sheet can be swapped for a ‘helping hand’ which will be displayed on our Missio Tree in the main entrance.

Helping Hands
Our pupils hope we can all support this very worthwhile charity which shows ‘children helping children’.

Confirmation – Primary 6 and 7 make the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday evening. Pupils and sponsors/parents should be settled and seated by 6.45pm.

Friday: Missio Fridays – children can bring a pound to donate to Missio each Friday ( only if able ). A different activity will take place each Friday throughout Lent although will not require pupils to bring anything in to school.
