Primary 2 have been enjoying active maths in the classroom. We’ve been playing lots of new maths games and learning about the numbers 0-20 while working co-operatively with each other.

Primary 1 have all made a wonderful start to their school lives. We have been very busy learning all different things in all different ways.
Some of our favourite things have been:
– going on a ‘phonics hunt’ in the playground to find things that start with our sound of the day
– going on an Autumn Walk. We looked for all the signs of autumn. We collected leaves, conkers and twigs then we went back to class and in groups we made our own trees.
– playing with the Primary 7 class during Golden Time.
– listening to Gerry from the library tell us stories and sing songs on his guitar.
– learning all about numbers and shapes in fun ways.
– learning to spell using sponges and paint.
– Visiting St John Bosco’s for the Missio mass and meeting Father Gerry.
It has been a very busy start and now we are really looking forward to the October break.

Primary 6 enjoyed taking primary 1 to Mass this morning. The PFFA children set a good example of behaviour to their primary 1 buddies.
