Advent Appeal – Mary’s Meals

During advent the children collected for Mary’s Meals they raised money as follows:

  • Profit from Fair Trade Tuck Shop £65.85
  • Choir Competition at Regent Shopping Centre £93
  • Primary 1 reindeer food enterprise £80.00
  • Nativity Concert Raffle £235.25

A cheque for £474.10 was sent Mary’s Meals today. All donations received by the charity before the 28th December 2015 will be doubled by the government, therefore £948.20 will be used to feed hungry children in 2016.

£12.00 feeds one child for one year. Well done everyone and thank you for your continued support.

Snow White Panto Visit

All of the children form St. Patrick’s Primary had a fabulous time at the pantomime today. The production was action packed, fun filled and the children all entered into the spirit of it by singing, dancing and shouting! Oh yes we did!!!!

Thanks to the Parent Focus Group’s Fund Raising efforts which subsidised the cost by £3.50 per child.

Christmas Choir Competition

Voting closed at 1:00pm today –  St. Patrick’s were 2nd with an amazing 1,298 votes. Well done!! And a huge thank you to to everyone who supported the school and voted for us.

Please remember the choir collected £93 for Mary’s Meals when the they performed at the shopping centre – this will feed a lot of hungry children.

The choir will sing a selection of Christmas Carols and songs at Scotmid in New Stevenston on Monday 21st December at 11:00am.

Congratulations to Our Lady and St. Francis Primary who who took 1st place with 1411 votes.

Keep Christ in Christmas

The Knights of Saint Columba Keep Christ in Christmas Painting Competition winners in St. Patrick’s Primary are as follows:

In the 5-7 year age group 1st Naomi, 2nd Adam and 3rd Matthew.

Naomi’s entry was 1st in the Motherwell area and overall 1st in the 5-12 years age group within the Motherwell Diocese.

Very well done, Naomi!!

The certificates were awarded at assembly this morning.
