Movie Afternoon

To celebrate the patron saint of our parish, primaries 3 to 7 “braved” the winds and attended Mass at St. John Bosco’s Church this morning. The behaviour was excellent and the singing was beautiful. Well done, everyone!

The celebrations continued into the afternoon, the children opted to view one film from a choice of three. Ice cream was enjoyed at the interval.

Everyone had a fabulous feast day.

Confirmation Retreat

Primaries 6 and 7 visited Holy Family Centre in Mossend to participate in their Confirmation Retreat. They learned all about the gifts of the Holy Spirit through a variety of workshops which were fun and interesting. Thank you to Nikki, Stephanie and Linda for making our day so special.

The Daily Mile

This initiative is now underway. Children (and staff) are walking, jogging or running for 15 minutes each day. This should improve the health and well being of the children, which can in turn improve their performance in class. Staff have already commented on improved focus in class. We look forward to a ‘fitter’ school community in 2016.
