Primary 1

Wow! What a busy first week we have had.

We have been looking at 2d shapes and making super models from shapes.

We have shown Mrs McCargo how clever we are at counting.

We got our first reading book and we have been learning about ‘s’.

Next week we will go to the PE hall for gym and to the new modular classroom to play with musical instruments and do some acting.

End of Week 1

This has been a very busy week, the children are all settled and enjoying the additional space in the class bases. Primary 1 have been fabulous – I think they will be tired this evening.

The modular class was in operation today, this classroom is a General Purpose space where drama, music, art, RE, cyber coach and lessons which require silence and/or noise will be delivered. Staff and children are looking forward to making good use of this class.

Please check school bags next week for Annual Data Check  sheets, these should be completed and returned to school as soon as possible. It is important we have accurate phone numbers and addresses – if these change contact school immediately.

August/September Newsletter will also be issued next week.

St. Andrew’s Hospice

The final total raised by the community of St. Patrick’s Primary for St. Andrew’s Hospice this year was an amazing £2,648.30.

The money was raised during Lent, Primary 1 Teddy Bear Picnic and Primary 7 Wear Yellow Walk.

Lyndsey a member of the School Liaison Team came to the Leavers Assembly to accept the cheque on behalf of the Hospice.

I would like to thank everyone for their support and  generosity.

Heads Of Ayr

The children had a FUNTASTIC time today! No rain and the sun shone in the afternoon. The children were well behaved and mannerly, they were a credit to the school and their parents.
