Primary 7 Transition

Good afternoon P7 (and parents).  Could any children who have still to inform Mr Dinsmor of their friendship choices for high school please do so as soon as possible?  Just send Mr Dinsmor a short email if you are having trouble with the form.  I would like to try and make this transition as easy as possible for you all and I would like to be sure that I put down the correct friendship choices for you.  If you could choose 3 friends, hopefully Taylor High will ensure you are guaranteed at least one of them.

Thank you,

Mrs Carroll

Primary 5/6

Hello again boys and girls, just a quick post to say I’ve added a wee activity for the month of May in the school closure section and I’ve set up this weeks Sumdog challenges for Maths and Spelling.  Good luck!

You are all doing the best you can with what you have!

Some statements that you can tell your child, that you can tell each other and our staff want you to know you deserve to hear for all the work you’re doing at home.

Surviving is priority and it’s difficult.
We know children love contact with their teachers and teachers really miss that contact too. Our blog is a good place to start for leaving a message or getting a reply from your teacher.
We are thinking of new ways to maintain contact with you all and are looking at the best ways to do this. Finding the balance between ‘just enough’, ‘too little’ and ‘too much’ is a challenge for us as a school but we are, as a staff, discussing this and other things to best support our families.

Primary 1 Home Learning Photos

It was lovely to see pictures of these two boys having great fun learning at home… I really miss seeing those smiling faces x  The painting of a healthy lunch has given me ideas for tomorrow’s lunch 🥗

P1/2

Hi P1/2,

Happy Star Wars Day!

Hope you are all well. It was nice to see some of you tried the Sumdog challenges last week. I hope you enjoyed finding out about Penguins. I would love to see some of the pictures of the Penguins and the posters you made.

I have posted some new activities on the school closure page. There is phonics, reading with Oxford Owl, numeracy, R.E and a special STEM challenge!
