Primary 7 visited Tesco in Bellshill today to learn about foods and where they come from. We had a fantastic time and we managed to visit the chillers, freezers, the bakery, the fish counter and the fruit and vegetable aisle. We finished off our day tasting a selection of breads, cheeses and fruits. We would like to thank Barbara and all the other members of staff who made our visit very enjoyable. Mrs Carroll even tasted an oyster!!!

Due to children missing one week of their swimming, another sessions has been allocated.
Children will attend swimming on Tuesday 22nd November.

Farm to Fork
P7 will visit Tesco in Bellshill on Wednesday 16th November from 10:00am – 12:00am.
P2’s visit has be re-arranged for Wednesday 23rd November.
Inset Day – school will be closed to children on Monday 21st November.
Sacramental Meetings
Sacramental Meetings for the parents of children in primaries 3 and 4, who intend to enrol their child/ren for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Communion will take place in St. Patrick’s Primary on Wednesday 23rd November as indicated below:
Reconciliation at 6:30pm
First Holy Communion at 7:00pm
Parent Council
The next Parent Council meeting is at 6:30pm on Wednesday 30th November.

On Wednesday 16th November the Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher from Taylor High School will speak to parents about the move from primary to secondary. The meeting will take place in St. Patrick’s Primary at 7:00pm.
During the meeting the following areas will be discussed:
The meeting will last approximately 1 hour and there will be an opportunity to ask questions or to speak to staff confidentially.

Primary 7 made Spooky Spider Halloween treats this morning. They had great fun and they are looking forward to eating them!

Halloween Parade this afternoon, children may be collected from the gate at 12:30. Children should return to school by 1:15pm.
At approximately 1:30pm the children will walk from the playground, go out of the school gate, walk to the main entrance, then go the hall for some Halloween fun. Parents may wish to wait and see the parade!!!
Halloween raffle draw will take place in the hall this afternoon.
On Tuesday 1st November, all children will go to Mass in St. John Bosco’s Church, at 11:00am, to celebrate the feast of All Saints. Primary 5 have prepared the liturgy for this celebration. Everyone is welcome.
NB no swimming for P5 today.
On Wednesday 2nd November Primary 1 will go to Tesco in Bellshill for a Farm to Fork visit.
