This is out last day and we have had a great time. The weather has been lovely although the water has been freezing! Ā Just ask Mrs Ferrie! šŸ˜‚

Primary 3 are Bright Sparks!

Primary 3 had great fun today whilst learning lots too! We made a human circuit with a ‘battery’, a ‘bulb’ and ‘electron’s’ to help us understand how energy flows around a circuit.Ā  Then we experimented with components to make our own circuits.Ā  Everyone was very excited when the light bulbs lit up!

Kilbowie Day 3

What beautiful weather we had on Wednesday. This allowed us to enjoy many activities such as Canoeing, Skiing, Gorge Walking, Coasteering and Adventure Walking. At night we walked into Oban and enjoyed a ‘healthy’ snack of chips from the local chippie! The week is flying past!

Kilbowie Update

Mrs Carroll notified me a short time ago to inform me that Kilbowie have had workmen in today as they are changing the wifi and the schools have not had access to the password, therefore she will not be able to post photographs from today. She said they had a fantastic day and were away canoeing, coasteering( jumping into the water I believe) going on an adventure walk and going on safari. Tonight they walked into Oban wearing their high viz vests and torches to go and get some ‘healthy’ chips(after all their exertions andĀ activity of today). She said that she will try and find some free wifi in Oban during the day and try and post someĀ photographs then.

Kilbowie Day 1

Primary 7 have had a busy first day at Kilbowie. Some went bike riding whilst others jumped in the sea. They played the Airport Game and the A-Z game. I’m sure they will all be shattered and they should sleep well tonight!

New Playground Equipment

I can finally announce that this weekend, starts installationĀ of our new playground equipment in school. You may remember that this time last year St Patrick’s won a Ā£10,000 Tesco Bags for Life grant. The pupils and staff from both schools were involved in the consultation process and parents were given the opportunity of seeing the film footage from the “Wordsworth” project at Parent’s evening last March.

During the mid term holiday the trim trail and safety surfacing will be put in, followed by playground markings and a standing high jump to encourage physical activity during breaks and gym lessons. Well done to Darin and Julianna who accurately worked out the problem solving competition and the total cost of the trim trail and surfacing to be £8.107,23. Look out for photographs coming soon.

In school this week all classes are trying to gain the most golden tickets and be the first class to try the equipment out.
