At the early stages children are encouraged to practise reading for fluency and understanding. Older children may also have written work, research or design work. In Primary 1 and Primary 2, homework should take no longer than 15 minutes but by Primary 7 could take up to 30 minutes per evening. At workshop sessions parents are advised how they can help their children to learn by active listening, talking, reading, writing, mathematic activities and simple science.
Further information about this is available from the school. Homework diaries are used and will provide parents with information on requirements.
