Financial Education Week

Today the children have been given a Homework Challenge as part of our Financial Education Week.

Primary 1, 2 and 3 have to select a snack for Santa and Rudolph according to a set budget, there are lots of tasty treats to choose from but they must work out what they can afford.

Primary 4, 5, 6 and 7 have to plan an imaginary Christmas party for 10 people, providing drinks, food, decorations and entertainment.  Some children from Primary 7 visited 6 local shops on Friday and they have agreed to assist us in our challenge, so pupils with adult supervision,  can visit Scotmid, Morrisons the Butchers, Tesco Express, Lidl, Greggs or Farmfoods to price our party supplies for the homework challenge. (Please try and avoid going at peak times if possible.)

Both homework challenges should be returned by Monday 16th December and the best use of budgets for each class , will be awarded a prize,

Good luck everyone!
