The past week Primary 2 and Primary 6 have worked super hard in competing against 406 other schools in the North Lanarkshire Sumdog Competition.
Primary 6 kicked off the competition by coming first place in the Daily Top School on Friday 16th November. This means they answered more correct questions than anyone else in the competition. This can only be won once.
After holding the top spot for 5 days another school gave us a run for our money and made us compete for our title. But, in the end Primary 6 came 2nd overall.
This means Primary 6 finished in 2nd place out of 407 different schools. Primary 2 worked really hard and entered the table at 50th. This is really impressive for their first competition.
What was more impressive was that 3 of our pupils placed in the Top 50 Students table, and another in the Top 100. The total of students entered in this competition was 8700, so an unbelievable achievement for everyone involved.
Mrs Connolly is extremely proud of everyone who took part.
