St. Patrick’s Primary – Our Vision

Over the course of the past year pupils, staff and parent council have reviewed the vision of the school. After lots of discussion, the following statement and logo has been agreed.

We felt it was appropriate to launch the logo during Catholic Education Week, in this very special year, the 100th annivesary of the Scottish Education Act of 1918.

The above poster is now displayed around the school and it summarises the core meaning of  St. Patrick’s Primary.

Our Vision:

In St. Patrick’s Primary School we are a community of faith and love and regard our role in the lives of pupils, their family and the parish as one of great importance and privilege.

We promote fairness, equality and inclusion to develop our children’s skills and abilities to their highest potential in an ethos of happiness and mutual respect.

We teach, by example, respect for others regardless of creed, colour, ability or gender.

We are a community of faith and love through the promotion of Christian Values and the Charter For Catholic Schools.

Our Values:

  • Faith – shared through prayer, liturgy in partnership with the parish of St. John Bosco
  • Hope – promote social justice and opportunity for all
  • Love – encourage this great commandment LOVE ONE ANOTHER
  • Welcoming – An ethos which aims to honour the life dignity and voice of all
  • Nurturing – work in partnership with parents and other to ensure all needs are being met
  • Respecting – promotion of the respect of different beliefs and cultures
  • Aiming Higher – encourage all to reach their full potential and to develop understanding of Gospel values and how to apply them to life
