St. Patrick's Primary, New Stevenston

New Playground Equipment

I can finally announce that this weekend, starts installation of our new playground equipment in school. You may remember that this time last year St Patrick’s won a £10,000 Tesco Bags for Life grant. The pupils and staff from both schools were involved in the consultation process and parents were given the opportunity of seeing the film footage from the “Wordsworth” project at Parent’s evening last March.

During the mid term holiday the trim trail and safety surfacing will be put in, followed by playground markings and a standing high jump to encourage physical activity during breaks and gym lessons. Well done to Darin and Julianna who accurately worked out the problem solving competition and the total cost of the trim trail and surfacing to be £8.107,23. Look out for photographs coming soon.

In school this week all classes are trying to gain the most golden tickets and be the first class to try the equipment out.
