Scottish Dancing
Scottish Storyteller
Today marks the start of our Scottish week in St Patrick’s. This morning P7 went together to listen to Daniel tell us a few traditional Scottish stories. He told us the story of the Mermaid Bride from Orkney. The children were all very excited to hear the story and were totally enthralled when Daniel was delivering the story in such an exciting way.
At the end he performed some music on his didgeridoo, the children especially liked his beat boxing.
When returning to class, P7b used their imagination to create some visualisers linked to the story.
P7 visit to St Maurice’s
All the Primary 7’s visited St Maurice’s yesterday morning. They were joined by P7 pupils from St Michael’s, Holy Cross and St Helen’s. The children all participated in different science investigations linked to chemistry, biology and physics. All the children throughly enjoyed taking part in the activities and finding out the results of the experiments. It gave them a great insight to the type of science lessons they will get in high school.
