p3/2 had a wonderful time sailing along The Forth and Clyde Canal on the canal boat The Voyager. A huge thank you to the volunteers from The Canal Society for their informative talks on The Romans and The Antonine Wall as we sailed past Croy Hill. The children also loved finding out about the wildlife along the canal. A big thank you also to our parent helpers who accompanied us.

Primary 7b worked hard yesterday creating images of the planets for our wall display. They worked well co-operatively and I was so impressed with their work. Have a look at the finished outcome!

P3/2 made the most of the sunshine by taking their maths work outdoors today. We made great use of our school grounds by taking part in a 2D shape hunt and recording our findings by using tally marks.

This morning Primary 7 went outside to get some ideas for their writing. They are writing a poem about Springtime and all the things you might see, hear, feel and smell in this season. The children were able to walk around the playground, looking for ideas and writing down great description for them before beginning their poems.

This morning, P7b are completing tasks linked to their novel studies. We have pair reading assessments, metalinguistics and summary activities. Alongside this, some children are completing spelling tasks or beginning/middle/end worksheets about chapters in their book.

Primary 7b created their own images of the solar system. They used black card and bright coloured oil pastels to draw the planets. They also used star stickers and gold card to create stars for their pictures. They look fab on display!

We also had a P1 boy who came to our class to complete the activity as he loves learning about space!

Our eels have survived their first night in their new home. They enjoyed their first feed today and the children will keep a record on our Eel Feeding Chart in class.

As part of our Eco topic, we have been looking at which traits would make a great Eco Warrior. We can then try our best to be excellent Eco Warriors around the school. In drama, we did a role on the wall to give us lots of ideas. Have a look and see how we got on!

Our Scotland to Saragossa conservation project has begun.

Our scientists delivered our eels today and they have made themselves at home in their tank in our classroom.
