As part of health week, the fire brigade came to our school to remind us how to stay safe at home in the event of a fire and taught us how to prevent them in the first place. We know we should turn off all electrical appliances and if we’re ever on fire, we should stop, drop and roll. Mrs Smith beautifully modelled a fire fighter’s uniform! p3/2 had a wonderful time sailing along The Forth and Clyde Canal on the canal boat The Voyager. A huge thank you to the volunteers from The Canal Society for their informative talks on The Romans and The Antonine Wall as we sailed past Croy Hill. The children also loved
finding out about the wildlife along the canal. A big thank you also to our parent helpers who accompanied us.
P3/2 made the most of the sunshine by taking their maths work outdoors today. We made great use of our school grounds by taking part in a 2D shape hunt and recording our findings by using tally marks.
Our eels have survived their first night in their new home. They enjoyed their first feed today and the children will keep a record on our Eel Feeding Chart in class.
Our Scotland to Saragossa conservation project has begun.
Our scientists delivered our eels today and they have made themselves at home in their tank in our classroom.
