Learning is fun!

Primary 5 have started their block of athletics and swimming today! We have enjoyed trying  javelin, discus throwing, shot putting and hammer throwing… now we are off to swimming! img_4463 img_4464 img_4465 img_4467 img_4468 img_4469

Primary 5/4 Mini Egg Investigators

Primary 5/4 had a busy morning solving problems all about Mini Eggs.  They were investigating if all packets contained the same amount of eggs and had the same colours.  They were working together to estimate and count, sort and classify, add and subtract and record information using a tally chart and bar graph.  They all worked well together and had a fun morning carrying out the investigation. image image image image image image image

Ancient Farming Tools

We have had lots of fun learning about Ancient Scotland.  Yesterday we worked in small groups to complete different design challenges. We were challenged to design tools that the ancient Scottish farmers may have used.  We were only allowed to use materials that would have been available between 3000-2000BC. Here are some pictures of us working on our challenge and presenting our finished tool designs.
