St Kevin's Primary and Nursery

Primary 5’s religions retreat

This week the Primary 5 pupils went to a lovely, fun and very peaceful retreat in St.Kevin’s Church Hall.  They learned about the 7 Sacraments and their significance.

During this time, they went into groups and had a chosen Sacrament.   They had great fun and worked very well as part of a team.

One group was learning about the Sacrament of marriage and dressed a pupil as a groom out of toilet paper.  The other group were concentrating on the Sacrament of Holy Orders and covered a pupil in toilet paper to dress as a Priest and the last group had the Sacrament of Baptism.

The children also went into the Church for story time and a meditation and reflection  lesson. They thought about their conscience at this time.
