Out Of Hours Learning (OOHL)

In St. Helen’s Primary, we recognise the importance of raising achievement alongside raising attainment. The staff of our school, alongside volunteers and visiting specialists, provide a wide variety of clubs for pupils at all stages. These vary from term to term and detail of what is available is communicated to pupils and parents through our school newsletter and website. We also work in close partnership with our Active Schools Coordinator, who keeps us updated on all events happening within North Lanarkshire that our children can attend.

This year some of our activities will include:

· Netball

· Dance

· Football

· Badminton

· Enterprise/Developing Young Workforce

· Mindfulness/Meditation

· Prayer Group

· Gardening

· STEM

· Micro:Bit Coding

This year we are also excited to be introducing Junior Leaders from our Primary 6 and Primary 7 classes, who have volunteered to deliver lunchtime learning clubs to our infant pupil groups. These have been a huge success so far and will continue throughout the year.
