Here are some home learning tasks for you. I will also post on MyTeams where you can submit your work in the assignments section.

Literacy: Focus on Inference

Watch this video and see if you can answer the following questions.

• How does the man feel? How do you know this?
  
• Why does the pink octopus fight so hard to get the orange octopus back? What clues helped you figure that out?
  
• What is the man’s job? Where is he taking the octopus? Why does he fight to get the octopus too?

Once completed the above complete one of the following tasks. Think about what the author is trying to say without actually saying it, make sensible predictions using inference and the text to help.

Topic/IDL:

Match the inventor to their invention then choose one to research. Use this week to create a poster or factfile about the inventor. Include interesting information and illustrations. Remember when searching to go into the website you find rather than just reading on Google. Read over the information you find and put it into your own words; find a website/websites that make sense to you (you could search the inventors name then put for kids at the end).
