STEM Week

Primary 5/4 have been learning all about Yeast and what makes it rise. We have learned that yeast needs heat, something to feed on (sugar) and time to allow it to rise. We also learned that we had to knead the bread and let it prove  in order for it to rise and for the carbon dioxide to escape.

We made bread in class and we were amazed at how much the dough had risen after we left it to prove for an hour.

We had great fun making bread rolls in class and even more fun eating them! Yummy!!
