We’ve had a very exciting STEM week this week at St. Helen’s. We have been busy completing maths trails around the school with our friends and carrying out experiments in our classrooms. We’ve also had some very exciting visitors who have came and told us all about the importance of Sciene, Technology, Engineering and Maths in their jobs and studies.

Thank you very much to Mr Osborne and our friends at St. Maurice’s who have come along to speak to us and help us with our experiments this week.

A special thank you to Carys Kelly and George Bruce – our STEM Ambassadors who visited p6 and p7 to speak about their courses at university.

A huge thank you to Mr Hammond, Mr McElhinney and Andres – who worked with our p1-3 classes. We loved trying out new technology during your inputs.

Another huge thank you to Ali Buchan, Martin Holmes and John Gillooly from BT Openreach who told P4 and P5 all about telecommunications and let us try out their safety equipment!
