This week we have parent information evenings that will give all parents an opportunity to review and discuss with your child’s teacher their progress, application to learning and contribution to the life of the class and school. Please be aware that appointments are 7 minutes in duration and if more time is required another appointment time can be arranged afterwards.

Scottish Engineering Awards
Primary 7 have been working on their entries to the Scottish Engineering Awards during STEM week. We were to answer the question “if I was an engineer I would” and have come up with some great ideas. We have written our pitch letters and hope we are successful.
Gaelic Football Training
Gaelic football training is back underway for Primary 7. We are working well as a team and have picked up some great techniques.
P7 Drama Session – Transition
P7 worked with Miss McKenna from St Ambrose this week for Drama. Using drama concepts of freezeframe, tableau and role on the wall they explored the subject of bullying. We have some great actors and actresses in our midst.
Wider Achievement
Celebrating more talent here at St. Augustine’s. A Primary 4 girl who has moved up a level in her dancing and a Primary 2 boy recognised by his club for his football talent. Well done! 
Alan’s Magic Show
Primary 1, 2 and 3 had an amazing time at Alan’s Magic Show yesterday. They were entertained while learning about Science. 
Credit Union Collection
Our credit union collection will take place on Friday for anyone wishing to top up their savings. Forms still available for anyone wishing to open an account.

Cross Country Finals
Huge well done to our cross country team who attended the finals today at Langloan Sports Centre to compete against other schools across the authority in this event.
Despite the horrible weather we are proud to say we had a first place finisher. Well done indeed!
Missio Scotland Visit
The whole school attended an assembly this afternoon to learn about the important work of Missio Scotland. Huge thanks to Martin who told us all about the help this charity provides and how we can support them in their work.
