“Rock Your Socks” for Down Syndrome Awareness
Some of the pupils have been learning about Down Syndrome today. The 21st of March is Down Syndrome Awareness Day. The children learned that across the world people wear odd socks to raise awareness and celebrate the amazing contribution of those with Down Syndrome to our world. The pupils want to wear odd socks tomorrow ( Friday 22nd). If your child would like to join in then we would love to see them wearing their mismatched socks to school.

Spaghetti Bridges in P7
Primary 7 constructed bridges out of spaghetti in today’s STEM challenge. We worked together to build our bridge and then tested its strength by adding weight. Our challenge was for our bridge to stand up for 2mins and we are delighted with the results.
For a bit of extra fun we used the airzooka to see how the bridge coped under further stress – wind. Still standing so all good.
