What’s on this week?

This week it is our Financial Education week with all classes across the school focusing on all things money related.  There are planned visits by HMRC who will deliver workshops in a number of classes during the week.  Pr. 6 will also get involved in an exciting day long workshop called ‘Enterprise is the  Business’  that will also include an invitation to parents to join them at 2.15pm and find out all about the learning that day. Classes will update the blog this week to share their learning. Being money savvy is an important life skill that starts from an early age and we hope that our annual whole school focus will support the children to budget well in the future.

Meet our Sports Leaders

Vikki Atkinson our Active Sports Co-ordinator  visited us today to present some of our Primary 7 pupils with their Sports Leaders Certificates.  Huge congratulations boys and girls.   These pupils will be running lunchtime activities for our younger pupils now that training is complete.  We can’t wait to see the wonderful activities available. Good luck everyone we are sure you will be fabulous.

Sportshall Athletics Final

Some of our P6 and 7 pupils went off to Ravenscraig on Friday for the NL finals of Sportshall Athletics.

It was without a doubt a fantastic day. Every pupil who went worked their socks off and should absolutely be proud of their efforts.  Sadly we didn’t win, but came home with no regrets.  Our team showed determination, grit, superb team work and fun.  Mrs Drummond lost her voice she was cheering so much!

Room 12 (formerly rm 15) had an exciting delivery today. This afternoon Paul the science guy delivered our hatchery for our new classmates! Paul will be visiting us weekly to see how well we’re looking after them. We can’t wait for their arrival on January 27th.
